I have a fine art background specialising in sculpture at art college. I am now a potter living and working on my smallholding in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside.
Growing plants has always been an important part of my life and have been collecting and propagating succulents for many years, making a perfectly designed pot that compliments the plants I grow was a natural progression. I work with red earthenware clays and my pots are wheel thrown and decorated using oxides for colouring over resists. The surface of the pots are multilayered and textured. I work with a palate of earthy tones and subtle blues/greens and greys that work so well with these fascinating little plants. Pots are high fired to make them very durable, hopefully giving many years of pleasure either indoors or outdoors.
