I intend to hold an At Home exhibition when the current situation no longer prohibits it. I will update this gallery when new information becomes available. I am exhibiting at the Potters' Jolley in Blockley on October 17th and 18th and hope that this still takes place. Confirmation of this exhibition will be available at a later date.
My passion for working in clay led me to take a BA Degree course at Farnham School of Art. I have spent much of my working life making tiles and pots and being involved with teaching Art and the History of Ceramics. Now retired from teaching, I am able to spend more time in my workshop, situated just outside Stratford upon Avon.
The desire to make pots is difficult to convey. Sitting at my wheel with the clay wedged and all weighed out, ready for throwing, is an exhilarating challenge. There are no boundaries, only the search for well balanced forms and the ever elusive beautiful glazes, which potters have been seeking for hundreds of years. My inspiration comes from my love of the History of Ceramics, my interest in food and baking, as well as my passion for plants.
