Much more at the workshop, including many prints. Please contact me to visit workshop.
I have drawn and painted ever since I could hold a pencil, to which a few remaining childhood books testify....
I studied art to A–level at school but as was the norm in those days, was not permitted to carry on to Art School, instead gaining a degree in French Studies from Manchester University. I continued to attend life drawing classes, portrait classes, pottery classes etc. in my spare time, while working in a variety of offices, until in my early 30’s I gave up the day job to take an art foundation course at Manchester Polytechnic with the intention of becoming a full-time potter. I won a place to study 3-D design at Manchester, but being unable to take it up due to lack of funds (no second grants by then!) started out on my 30-year career as a studio potter, making contemporary domestic ware.
Drawing and painting continued in endless sketch books, until finally I decided to finish potting and turn my attention back to art. I now paint and make prints in my workshop
