David Jones is influenced by leading potters such as Bernard Leach, Michael Cardew and Michael O'Brien. In partnership with Rod Weightman he established The Piggin Pottery Co.Ltd. in Dorking, Surrey, where he worked as a studio potter for three years. After a lengthy break from full-time ceramics, in 2011 he re-invigorated a life-time interest and turned full-circle, re-emerging as a craftsman potter working in both stoneware and porcelain clay. David has recently moved from Wiltshire to Warwickshire where he has established a small studio at his home.
