I have set up a blog for Arts Weeks at Home 2020 under the name peglerpurl (https://peglerpurl.blogspot.com)
Spin Spun Sisters is a group which I regularly spin and weave with in public.
(See Events tab on http://spinspunsisters.blogspot.com to find out when we will next appear).
If you buy a house with a 4 acre field while working a demanding 'day job' you can avoid being overrun with grass using a ride on mower or acquire livestock. We chose sheep, which led to a steep learning curve and eventually a surplus of fleece. That led to discovering what we could do besides composting it.
I can now prepare and spin just about any wool fibres (and many plant or artifical fibres too). Turning fleece into yarn is alchemy, especially when dyeing them too. Moving on from this to create items from hanspun opens up options in weaving, knitting, crochet, braiding and ... The end-products need not be limited to wearables. Whether rustic or sophisticated, handspun yarns can be art as well as functional, modern or traditional. I love to use machines from past centuries to make things for this century.
Best means of contact is email: peglerpurl (at) gmail.com
I am also Peglerpurl on Ravelry.
