After studying Art at Manchester I spent my working life as a commercial illustrator, working for various women's magazines and children's book companies, including Ladybird books. Alongside this work I enjoyed painting landscapes and gardens and especially flowers. More recently I developed an interest in Botanical Painting, and have almost completed the Society of Botanical Artists Diploma Course. I love the detail, rich colour and design qualities required for this challenging artform.
