With thanks to Jo Lewis photography and @humansofleamington for artist photograph and to Claire at Applause in Park Street for the elegant setting.
I did an HND in Craft Materials at Coventry University many years ago, specialising in ceramics. It was only after my retirement that I was able to find the time and the resources to return to clay. The use of a friend's studio has been the biggest factor in allowing me to play with forms, oxides, glazes. I am currently using porcelain paper clay for most of my work. I like its translucent quality. It can be worked to a great fineness but the clay remains strong despite its air of fragility.
