2019 is a busy year for me personally so sadly I will not be exhibiting as often as I have in previous years.
A week prior to Warwickshire Open Studios, on Friday 7th June from 5 - 8pm I will be at Makers in the Muse, a glorious coffee shop and eatery on Holly Walk in Leamington. I will be showing a selection of my work, plus greetings cards and cushions, and will have plenty of WOS brochures to hand!
3rd and 4th August 2019, Leamington Art in the Park Festival. I will be in one of the Leamington Studio Artists marquees
Details of further events and exhibitions can be found on my website and Facebook page as they arise. Details below.
I discovered the joys of watercolour around twelve years ago while attending an evening class near where I lived in France. I immediately took to these slippery pigments, loving the way they handle, the effects that can happen when you least expect them, those happy accidents that can turn a picture into a painting. Initially drawn to florals, I also love to paint animals and birds and am now experimenting more with landscapes. We are always told not to look into the sun, but I am particularly drawn to big skies, and sunlight, the effects of light through leaves, and those moments when we are slightly blinded yet somehow can see the beauty in things more clearly.
