Penny Varley – Have a go

Join me in my garden studio to learn the hand-made craft of pottery for a half or whole day. Set in my garden studio, I can provide tuition from one to 4 adult students. You can design and make your own creations to use or to give as a gift.
The workshops are for everyone. Beginners who have never thrown a pot before to those who wish to enhance their techniques, a session in my studio is the ideal way to try this craft.
During your workshop session you will find out how pots are made and some of the processes involved. Have a go on the potters wheel or try some hand building techniques.
Tea and coffee are provided. Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements.
Your nails need to be trimmed, valuable jewellery removed and wear old clothes. If you have long hair please bring something to tie it back.
Once made your creations can be fired in the kiln.
You will be contacted when they ready for collection . There is an additional charge per item for firing, payable on collection, based on the size of your creation.
