Artform: Painting
I love painting in bright, fresh, colours, with a naïve, illustrative style. My subjects are enchanting landscapes with a touch of magic, and dancing figures inspired by folklore. My subjects arise from places I have visited, blended with imagination.
My hopeful, optimistic paintings evoke a sense of childlike wonder, and recurrent themes include mountains, lakes, landscape gardens, trees, rivers, dancing fairies and nymphs. My art is all about ‘returning to childhood’. Through it I hope viewers may for a while rediscover their own early innocence and idealism.
