I am a Salford native whose artistic spirit has travelled through diverse landscapes! Starting with childhood art classes under the wing of Harold Riley, a friend of L.S. Lowry, my story unfolds through art studies in Leicester and London. Faced with a sense of misfit, a detour into psychology paved the way for a fulfilling career as a prison psychologist and later, a business psychologist.
With over 30 years in training and development, including a decade co-directing a coaching and leadership consultancy, my career crescendoed (maybe that’s a bit strong ha ha!) as a Senior Lecturer in Leadership at Worcester University. Yet, amidst the corridors of academia, the heartbeat of art never waned (hope thats not too poetic). My story has now taken a captivating turn. Since 2005, my canvas hosts not just strokes of paint but a life story transformed into portraits. Come and have a chat about art and portraiture. I will also be doing demostrations.
