Maggie is an abstract, visual artist who lives in Stratford upon Avon. She paints mainly with acrylics and mixed media and is interested in the gestural energy of mark making on a blank canvas. The duality of the straight line and the curve interest her and the circle has been a dominant symbol for years. She uses acrylic paint and inks, pastels and pens, combined with some collage in mixed media and enjoys the power of colour. Maggie can work on large canvases in her studio in the garden, but equally is currently working on small pieces in her work room. The process of creating art interests her and she has recorded her practice and other related work in a large number of journals over the past 20 years.
