I am a mixed media textile artist using a wide range of techniques, fascinated by the potential to create original work from everyday materials. My work is inspired by nature, the world around me, and the materials I use. Whilst my work is always textile based, I enjoy exploring the way many different techniques can be incorporated into a single piece of work. I will often use elements of drawing, painting or collage, as well as both hand and free machine stitching in a single piece. By using found materials and repurposing textiles and threads my work evolves, often unexpectedly, from an idea into a finished piece.
