Jackie works with natural fibres and textiles creating felted, knitted and handprinted jackets, scarves, bags and accessories. Using techniques which combine colour, texture, print and surface decoration she creates unique pieces of wearable art. Many of her materials are from sheep breeds in the UK, local vegetation and natural dyes.
She is joining Ros Ingram, new resident artist at Unit 13, who produces wonderful, quirky ceramic and mixed media creations! There will also be 6 other talented artists whose work includes pottery, sculpture, clothing and textiles, photographs, paintings, and jewellery.
Ros will also be offering classes and workshops in her new studio, so come and check it out. You’ll be offered home-made treats and drinks whilst browsing and chatting with artists- they all look forward to seeing you there.
