I am a lifelong artist with a background in advertising and illustration. I am drawn to all aspects of original art, mostly with textiles. My recent Arts degree at Chichester University included work with sculpture and mixed media. My work reflects the narrative of Britain’s industrial and consumer history. I use found items to create sculptural installations from an eclectic assortment of inspiration, from handbags to emaciated boats. I am artist-in-residence on regular canal trips on the historic working boat Renfrew, collecting more information and material, mark making and creating sketchbooks.
The canal side studio at Tess Wharf is located in the boatyard with space for outdoor sculptures, and there is an indoor gallery. There is free parking in the yard. Vintage canal-ware shop and refreshments.
