Ian Ridley
Feckenham Village Hall

Artform: Painting
I am a landscape/seascape artist using both watercolours and acrylics and painting in an impressionistic or semi-abstract style. I am relocating my studio to the Village Hall where I will be able to demonstrate, discuss processes and show development using over 100 originals on display or in browsers.
I was an elected member of the prestigious Birmingham Watercolour Society and my work has obtained a number of awards, the latest being chosen as a finalist in the SAA’s Artist of the Year professional landscape category last year. Providing a less traditional approach to landscapes and using big washes I do demonstrations and run workshops for art societies in the Midlands and besides selling through a local gallery I exhibit regularly throughout the year.
I sell a book of my work ( 5th edition) and greetings cards for cancer charities and will be making a further donation from sales of paintings during the event. For a full biography and details see www.ianridleywatercolours.co.uk
