I’m a craftsman with a love of wood its grain, textures, patterns & colours. I try to utilise these features by sympathetically shaping & creating simple flowing forms.
Colour is an integral part of my work; burning, applied paints, stains & liming pastes add depth, contrast & texture emphasising & highlighting the natural grain patterns.
Fitness for purpose, form & function are also key elements of my work especially when upcycling creating something new from unloved & discarded items.
