As a child discovering nature brought me joy and excitement and a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world around me. Those early years have left me with a lasting impression and the realisation that I needed to continue to be close to nature – to watch, to listen, to touch , to smell all those beautiful things around me to feel complete and at peace with myself. Transferring this joy into my ceramics has inspired me to make terracotta nature themed sculptural and decorative ceramics. These pieces are often quirky and playful, reminding me of my childhood years.
