Although I work mainly in acrylics, painting predominantly people and scenes in and around Kenilworth, I have recently created some pieces incorporating collage using magazine articles, postage stamps, clothing patterns, street maps, etc and have built up a collection of street scenes mainly of Kenilworth and surrounding villages. Never to actually ever paint what I see, you will find wonky walls, brightly coloured roofs and postage stamp windows among the quirky buildings….so ‘The Stamp Collection’ was born! I have over the past few years created some colouring books of Kenilworth from my own sketched images and a jigsaw using my artwork which have made an appearance on both regional and national TV. I am thrilled to be exhibiting this year alongside and by kind invitation of Karen Pittaway and Helen Woodcock, two amazing resident artists at the Bank Gallery, Old High Street, Kenilworth.
