Welcome to the RBL Community Hub & Café. I am delighted to be exhibiting alongside the residents and Southam Stitch by Stitch. As a carer I see how important it is for people to continue doing the things they enjoy, the Hub and Galanos House provides the space and time for residents and visitors to pursue their creativity.
I love machine embroidery; I use a sewing machine to produce my work. One day I could be stitching a realistic landscape from photographs and memory. Another I might be creating an imaginary person and their story. I also enjoy stitching animals and birds; these creatures can be whimsical or realistic. I have previously created machine-embroidered pet portraits for commissions.
Most of my methods and techniques are detailed in my book – “Machine Embroidery Techniques and Projects”. Alongside the embroidered art, I produce bags, cards, jewellery, brooches and dolls. I sell these items at local markets. I also sell my art in my Etsy shop clarencecole.etsy.com.
