I believe my love of fabric and thread comes from my childhood. My mother’s work meant our house was full of Victorian clothing and so I was surrounded by silk, muslin ribbons and buttons. I create textile pieces inspires by a bird’s eye view of the world. Who can forget they first flight, looking down at our impact on this world. More recently I have been looking at our impact on the world around me and looking for the beauty in the weeds and insects in our garden. The studio is set in this peaceful, semi wild garden, and we are blessed by having an excellent cake maker in our community whose cakes will be available with a cup of coffee.
