Dale Street Methodist Church is the perfect setting in the town centre to come and see the work of talented individual artists, a vibrant painting group and the Land Art Photography Group – Jane Yates, Lorna Ashworth, Judy Dyson, Cathy Renken, Bridget Mattingly and Ellie Rose, Painting Without Numbers and the Land Art Photography Group. Why not come, meet the artists, see demos of printmaking, take part in making some Land Art and our varied workshops.
Bridget is a student on the Land Art Photography course run by Ellie Rose. She previously worked mainly as a printmaker, using eco printing, gel plates and plaster castes to collect imagery directly from the environment and then combining a variety of printing techniques to produce the final print. She is now enjoying adding photography to this mix, sometimes overlaying exposures or adding print to give additional context and interest to the final image.
