Art @ St. Nicholas House

Artform: Drawing ,Printmaking
Nature, landscapes and wildlife, especially feathered friends, inspire me to create contemporary linocuts and detailed drawings exploring textures and patterns. I enjoy creating both single colour, multi-layered and also reduction linocut prints. My print studio is either my kitchen or back room, hand printing with my trusty metal spoon or, more recently, exploring more abstract colour prints based on magnified details from my linocuts or landscapes, using my printing press. My drawings are created using pencil crayon and pen.
You can find out more about my linocuts and the process behind making them at www.alixalmond.com
I also teach a range of linocut workshops; more information about these can be found on my website.
