In 2020, when our world got turned upside down, we moved our physical event to become #artweeksfromhome. We made a number of changes to the website to provide additional content and links for each artist. We also introduced themes to provide a daily focus for the marketing. Using these themes we produced a set of videos which we shared across our social media channels and website.
The 2020 event proved very successful:
268,000 unique individuals viewed content
60,389 minutes of video were viewed across 28 days
On average, each day of the #artweeksfromhome event we were reaching 21,000 unique accounts through our organic and paid activity
We grew both our Facebook and Instagram audiences by over 25%
On Instagram we posted over 300 stories sharing artists’ content
Key hashtags: #artweeksfromhome – used over 1.3k times, #warwickshireopenstudios2020 – used over 2k times
We have continued to use the content throughout the year – videos are the gift that keeps on giving! As well as WOS continuing to share them, they have been used by Leamington Spa Art Gallery, Rugby Art Gallery, Art in the Park and Discover Gather Give
For 2021 we are once again going to invest in the #artweeksfrom home virtual event, providing an opportunity for those artists not wanting to take part in a physical event. (NOTE - All our individual artists participating in the physical event automatically are part of #artweeksfromhome, but those as part of group have to sign up separately).
To take part you need to become a member (£25) and take out the virtual event fee (£45).
