Biography
Andrew Field is a contemporary landscape painter taking great inspiration from the British landscape and his love of Stratford Upon Avon and The Cotswolds. His paintings are emotive responses to experiences of being immersed in the landscape, responding to the atmosphere, colours, light and weather. He draws inspiration especially from the great British landscape tradition, in particular Constable and Turner as well as the French influence of Monet, Matisse and Cezanne. Andrew grew up in Sutton Coldfield and studied at Lancaster University gaining a 1st Class Honours Degree in Art & Design and Geography as well as a Masters in Education from Liverpool Hope University. He lived in the United Arab Emirates for over 10 years where he exhibited regularly and his work can be found in the collections of Coutts Bank, Goldman Sachs, The Royal Family of the UAE as well as Dubai Multi Commodities Company.
