Biography

Joyous handmade ceramics for everyday ritual and celebration; a moment’s pause with tea & cake, a morning meditation ritual or a fine meal with close friends.

Peace, gratitude, and liberation are the pillars of inspiration for this unique collection of ceramics.

 

Consciously creating the conditions to access the flow state, both the process and the products become part of Leyla research into the healing powers of the ceramic process.

Leyla works on small collections at a time to explore the gifts and growth in mastering the ceramics process. Her skills and understanding are then generously shared with students in her Warwickshire studio providing support to develop their individual voice and create a practice that helps them thrive as new makers.

 

A Loughborough graduate, Leyla trained under Ben Brierly and David Scott, she graduated in 2003 and has continued to consistently make & teach ever since.
