Once again, I will be exhibiting for Warwickshire Open Studios as part of Art In Dunchurch. This friendly group numbers eighteen artists, all from a wide range of disciplines. Everything from collage to sculpture, painting and textiles, and lots more. As if that weren’t enough, there is a glorious garden to explore and a covered, courtyard café.
Art In Dunchurch runs from Saturday 22nd – Sunday 30th June. See the entry for dates and times of opening.
Wednesday 26th is late night until 8pm, with cocktails and live jazz.
From September I will begin hosting autumn workshops.
My mailing list receive advance notice, so if you are interested, please, sign up.
In November, the studio will turn into a mini gallery for invited guests.
Once again, check out the mailing list.
I am also happy to welcome visitors at other times of the year, contact me for an appointment.
I was lucky enough to be born into a talented, creative family who encouraged me to go to Art College. Returning to painting after family life and a second career as a primary teacher, I discovered watercolour at an evening class in France. I’ve been hooked ever since! I just love the way these silky, slippery pigments flow and combine in unpredictable ways to create magical effects. They have continued to intrigue me for nineteen years now, and I still learn something new every day.
Then, nearly four years ago, we said our farewells to France and settled in Dunchurch, and for the first time in my life, I have a dedicated studio space. I now have somewhere that I can retreat to, where I can paint along to my talking books or podcasts, knowing that at the end of the day, I don’t have to pack everything away. I can host classes and workshops. I can display my work and invite visitors in to view my gallery. Or I can make a proper mess, and close the door on it!
As I said at the beginning, born lucky!
