Giles Dugmore
Media: Woodwork & woodturning

Giles turns organic wood pieces showing natural grain, bark and imperfections to reflect the life of the tree in an object created on the lathe allowing a second life for locally sourced wood in all shapes and sizes with a focus on form rather than function.
Giles has always had a love of wood in all its forms and took up woodturning just prior to the lockdown.
He is an active member of the Heart of England Woodturning Club in Stratford, having benefited from the skill and experience of all his fellow members.
Giles has recently been certified as an AWGB (Association of Woodturners of Great Britain) tutor so that he can introduce people to woodturning as a hobby as well as to support efforts to improve people’s mental health and wellbeing through outreach and charity work based around woodturning.
