My work is vibrant, eclectic and expressive, it is about observing and responding to a sense of form, in the landscape, how light and shade affects that form and how colour completes the picture.
I work intuitively from personal photographs and journals, sketching compositions and devising colour schemes, before choosing the medium I feel best expresses what I have to say about my subject. I use a wide range of mediums including collage from recycled papers, mono print, acrylic paint and texture pastes, inks, charcoal and oil pastels, applying them with brushes, palette knives, found objects and sometimes my fingers.
