I'm a self-taught photographer from Brazil and I'm proud to share that my grandad was a professional photographer who inherited my great-grandfather's first Camera Shop/Darkroom founded in my hometown in 1918. Although my dad chose a different career, he was a great amateur photographer and also passionate about the medium.

Despite my photographic background, I only discovered my own passion for photography when two big events changed my life drastically in 2016: I moved to England and my dad passed away. Exploring new places and capturing the beauty around me was a great opportunity to focus on something and find my peace. Soon I realised how much I enjoy being behind a camera and I've never stopped since then.

I'm a very old-fashioned person passionate about the old times. I shoot mainly on 35mm film nowadays and I prefer black and white pictures as I love the nostalgia, drama and deep emotions they convey to the captured scenes.

My intention as a photographer is only fulfilled when I transfer my feelings into my images, not just press a button. They are a true expression of myself and how I envision the world around me. It’s so powerful to be able to capture a piece of history and stamp my persona into a photograph. When I'm inside my viewfinder is where I feel the happiest!
