Katy Walden graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art from Falmouth School of Art in 1994 and is still drawn to the coast as inspiration for her work, as well subjects closer to her Warwick home. Her work is based on observation, using her visual language of brush strokes and marks to capture the essence and light of a landscape or still life.
Katy has previously exhibited works in The Mall Galleries and won an award with the N.E.A.C prior to having a long break from producing and showing artwork.
In 2022 she was awarded a Warwickshire Open Studio Emerge Bursary and took part in WOS for the first time. She has since been a regular exhibitor at the LSA Art Room in Leamington Spa, exhibited at the Rugby Art Gallery as part of the Rugby Open, selected to be part of the 12 days of Christmas window displays at Compton Verney and taken part in Leamington ArtsFest.
