I have been painting in various media for many years and, particularly since retiring from full time work several years ago, I have developed a passion for telling stories through paint. I love to make pictures that reflect a range of moods from wild seascapes to tranquil landscapes and the human condition from exhilaration and high energy to calm, intimate moments. To do this I have worked on how to use light, tone, colour, composition and ways of laying down paint to bring the story to life. One of my special interests is to produce my "Cities re-imagined" in which I explore what visual images make a place unique (buildings, people, landscapes and activities) and then arrange those images in a way that reflects the soul of that city.
