Whilst looking after my beloved husband,i was encouraged by my Marie Currie nurse to take up a hobby such as art .I found a local class and found solace ,new friends and supportive .My husband became my mission as very much look forward to my return, and have the nurse to make sure he was awake to see my work,However January 2000 he sadly past away and I never picked up a brush again,I tried but too painful.One day nineteen year's later a dear friend of mine ask me if I would accompany her to join an art class ,and to my delight I found the love of painting again .Whilst I had learnt many skills over the two years I came to a crossroads and wanting to develop a style of my own So along with my dear friend again joined and local scout hut with no tutoring ,where I was able to paint freely using my intuition and expression with support of my fellow artist .This time my mission was for me My inspiration and finding a style was my dear farther and best friend .He was a sculptor and very creative,Sharing our thoughts together on art and form .We shared spiritually together and beliefs of the wonder of nature surroundings with its trees ,seed pods and animals .After along life 2018 my farther pass away .I had always use just watercolours,but one day I was given pallet of ink ,Whilts trying these out a spiritual moment occurred and felted my farthers present ,my brush felted like it was painting for me and a landscape appeared then I heard a voice in my head Trees set the Scene so hence painted two trees like I had never painted before From that day my style was formed and have now built a portfolio of paintings ,mostly during lockdown and now on a journey as an artist and share with others My main mediumare watercolours.However several of my paintings I have added acrylic inks along with granulation fluid to give textures Also useful tools of pallet knives ,twigs and water spray bottle
