I joined Rugby Artist & Makers in 2021 and hope to participate in their activities and exhibitions in the future.
I have been working with wood throughout my life. Over the years this has taken many twists and turns, but my focus today is woodturning.
My small workshop in the garden was created out of two pig sties. Although my primary focus these days is woodturning I do continue to produce bespoke furniture items.
I strive to create crisp, simple but elegant designs and turn them into well-crafted pieces to grace the modern home. I like to avoid unnecessary embellishment relying on pure form to produce functional objects. I hope that these items will endure and give their owners many years of use and pleasure.
I constantly look for inspiration in the world around me but aim to maintain originality in my work.
The materials that I use are either from sustainable sources or have been obtained by recycling.
