Wendy is a photographer who has enjoyed creating images using a wide range of cameras both digital and film. In recent years she has begun to use lensless pinhole cameras and alternative imagery such as cyanotypes and lumen prints. Originally from Wisconsin in the USA Wendy has lived in the midlands in England since February of 2014.
While Wendy enjoys photographing a range of genres from landscape to wildlife, macro to portraits the types of photos that bring her the greatest pleasure are some of the old-fashioned processes using vintage cameras such as pinhole and box Brownie cameras. The slow pace, thoughtful approach, and unpredictability of the results are satisfying. The resulting images have a timeless and even an abstract look that sets them apart. Some of her favourite images have been “happy double exposure accidents” that became unique and appealing images.
Wendy has been shortlisted in Landscape Photographer of the Year, Outdoor Photographer of the Year and won or placed in smaller competitions. Her images have been published in magazines, calendars, and used in brochures featuring the Cotswolds.
She exhibits her photos along with two other photographers in a variety of venues as well as in the Gallery at the Guild in Chipping Campden.
